Artwork / uploads
All artwork needs to be supplied as PDF and CMYK process colour. Spot colours will be converted at the time of upload along with RGB images.
Production timeframes
Dispatch time frames are calculated starting the next production day following the order date, as long as that order is placed before 12:30pm EST. Any order received after 12:30pm on any day, will be processed as a following production days order. For example, an order placed at 12:20pm on a Monday will be dispatched on Friday whereas, an order placed a 1pm on the same Monday will be dispatched on the following Monday.
Any period or date for delivery of goods or provision of services is intended as an estimate only and is not considered a contractual commitment. We will use our reasonable endeavours to meet estimated dates of dispatch & delivery but will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you or any third party for failure to meet an estimated date.
Flight Check
The flight check produces a PDF proof at the time of upload and you can use this to view the values of any changes that are made. We strongly recommend that you make these changes to both spot colours and RGB images before uploading your file as this proof is approximately 300% the file size of your uploaded artwork.
Requests for reprints due to CMYK conversion generally will not be accepted. However, if you want to check your artwork before submitting your order, download the generated proof and check the values of RGB images or spot colours that have been converted correctly.
We recommend images have a resolution of 300dpi. Line weights should not be less then 0.0882mm
All artwork provided must be able to meet our file specifications. We will not be liable for any errors occurring in the electronic transfer of artwork.
Please note there are certain factors which are outside our control when customers place their orders. We cannot be held responsible for the quality of the images / artwork uploaded, nor can we be held responsible for the diverse range of computers used by our customers. Variations in computer personal settings may mean the artwork preview on screen may have slightly different appearance to the printed product.
Word documents may be uploaded, however we cannot guarantee edge to edge printing. Word documents must be uploaded as A4 portrait.
Flight Check – Errors
If our Flight Check process produces an Error during the file check procedure, you must fix the error mentioned to continue or change the options to suite your artwork correctly.
Most common errors occur if the uploaded artwork is the incorrect size or orientation
Our Flight check looks for the Trim dimensions of your artwork.
E.g. You are uploading an A4 Portrait document – Finished size of 297 x 210mm, therefore the Trim dimensions must also be 297 x 210mm
If your document is 305 x 218mm then there is 4mm of trim on each edge:
305 – 297 = 8mm 8 / 2 = 4mm
218 – 210 = 8mm 8 / 2 = 4mm
If you are unsure of what the finished size should be, use the sizing chart provided below.
You can check the Trim dimensions by opening your artwork within Adobe Reader, clicking on DOCUMENT / CROP PAGES
From the top drop down box select ‘Trimbox’, underneath the Thumbnail image will be the TrimBox size, if that size does not equal the finished size, the top / bottom / left / right margins must be changed to get the desired TrimBox size.
Make sure this is done for ALL pages, by either doing these steps for every page, or within the Page Range selecting ALL before making any changes.
Flight Check – Warnings
If our Flight Check process produces a Warning during the file check procedure you may accept this as something you are aware and accept it as a risk of which may cause a quality issue when printing, or fix your artwork and upload it again.
